An electronics repair company needed an elegant solution to track their repair tickets online -- so both their staff and their customers could access it. So, we setup a basic DLC Extranet in a very short time. Since the site had minimal graphics, only one week was necessary to setup databases, create screens, and test the software. Now, their staff tracks repair tickets and customer records online, and customers can login to check the status of their repair orders. Fast. Elegant. Very efficient for business.

A digital printing company was expanding their market presence in the USA and acquiring large, recurring customers. The problem: their customer service department was receiving an increasing number of calls from customers, who were asking about job status, change orders, and how to transmit electronic files. The solution: a web site with extranet features, where customers login and check job status online. The site also offers an "upload" feature to transmit electronic files directly to the production department.

A hi-tech consortium was located among dozens of hi-tech firms in Research Park (in Orlando), yet it still struggled to distribute information to its members on a timely basis. Fortunately, DLC was one of those members, and we proposed a re-designed web site with public resources (open to anyone on the Internet) and a "members-only" area (requiring a username and password to access confidential materials). The resulting web site helped the consortium distribute information on a timely basis... and on a limited budget!

*B2B stands for "business-to-business",
when businesses sell primarily to other businesses.
Our experience in online databases goes back a long way. Before DLC Extranet even existed, an online wholesaler of car parts was building a B2B* web site with an extraordinary database -- a listing of every car part, for every American car made since 1970. The project was huge, including millions of records, plus illustrations and assembly diagrams. The chief architect of DLC Extranet, Daniel Lampert, was Director of Operations and managed the project's 55 artists, programmers and content writers. So, we've got a strong background in building online databases.

Now, would you like to see how it works behind the scenes?
